The "Tower of Blue Horses" is a painting by the German artist Franz Marc from 1913.

The painting shows a surreal landscape with blue horses that have built up into a kind of tower. The horses are painted in dynamic poses. The painting is an example of Marc's interest in spiritualism and mysticism as well as his love of animals.

Unfortunately, the original painting has been lost since the Second World War. It was last shown in an exhibition in Berlin in 1937, after which it was acquired by Hitler's Minister of Propaganda, Joseph Goebbels. Goebbels later sold the painting to an anonymous buyer, and its whereabouts have been unknown ever since. There are several theories about its fate, including speculation that it was destroyed in a fire or hidden away in a private collection. Despite many searches and investigations, however, the painting has never been found.
