Biography of Christina Kraus:
As the daughter of a wood sculptor, Christina Kraus has been artistically active since early childhood. After completing her technical baccalaureate in the field of design at the Staatliche Fachoberschule Nürnberg and several semesters of architecture and civil engineering, she took master classes in illustration at the Schwabenakademie Irsee and the Kunstakademie Bad Reichenhall, where she received a scholarship in 2013.
Prejustanced with acrylic, she combines classic glaze painting with elements of pointillism.
In March 2017, her first illustrated book was published by Insel Verlag. The theme of the book is roses and all the pictures shown in it can be obtained as a limited edition art print at Bildergipfel. All the roses that Christina Kraus painted are from her own garden.
Her work has been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions. Christina Kraus lives and works in Heroldsbach/Thurn near Forchheim.
